Kelly Hunt announces Season 2 of her collaborative performance series “The SongCraft Sessions,” hosted by The Rino and sponsored by Kissick Construction. Each session features a different local or touring songwriter and begins with a brief introduction and interview of the guest artist followed by a set of their original material. The guest artist then joins Kelly (and on occasion, Kelly’s long-time musical partner, Staś Heaney) for a collaborative set.
This season’s 3rd session features singer-songwriters Kasey Rausch & Kristin Hamilton.
Kasey Rausch (KCMO) is a 5th generation musician who plays Americana music. Her main project, "The Country Duo," tours nationally and made their first recordings at the legendary Sun Studio. She was named "Best of the Northland" in 2016, and 2013’s Female Performer of the Year by KMXN 92.9 The Bull. River Trade Radio on 90.1 FM KKFI is a live radio show she co-produces and hosts Sunday mornings.
Kristin Hamilton is a Kansas City singer songwriter whose voice has been described as one that "stirs the soul". Her music is folk country tinged with the sweet flavor of bluegrass. Kristin's original music touches on topics of family & faith, grief & gratitude and will leave you with a warm heart. Formerly of Under The Big Oak Tree and Lost Cowgirl Revue, Kristin currently performs as a solo artist, as a duo with her daughter Lucy Gray, and with her full band "The Heat."
